Common errors & troubleshooting
Important subject was cut off
Cause: Cover crop keeps the target ratio by trimming edges.
Fix: Pan the frame, zoom out, switch anchor, or use freeform / smart crop tools when appropriate.
Output looks soft after crop
Cause: Output size larger than the cropped pixel window upscales.
Fix: Lower output width/height to at most the crop window size.
Privacy and security
- Your input and generated output are processed locally and are not sent to our servers for tool execution.
- Opening a local file uses the browser File API; the file is not uploaded to UtilityKit.
- We may collect anonymous product analytics (for example page views). Tool contents are not included in those events.
- Smart crop optimizes edge energy / contrast — it is not full facial recognition.
- Animated GIF/WebP become still frames when cropped.
- Very large images may be limited by browser memory.
